Sample characteristics and application maintenance of ammonium ion electrodes

Ammonium ion electrode is an effective method to measure the content of ammonia nitrogen in samples. Ammonium ion selective electrodes are also commonly used in on-line instruments, such as the determination of ammonia nitrogen content in water. Ammonium ion selective electrode, with the advantages of simple measurement, fast and accurate response, can be used together with any PH meter, ion meter and online ammonia nitrogen analyzer, used in biological samples, soil ammonia nitrogen, surface water ammonia nitrogen, sewage ammonia nitrogen determination, as well as online ammonia nitrogen determination in water.


Sample characteristics of ammonium ion electrode:

Conventional samples: common clarified water samples, with a certain concentration of H+ or OH- ions, good mobility.


Sample containing solid impurities: water sample containing suspended matter, good fluidity, and suspended matter has no attachment.


Mixed liquid sample: The water sample has no precipitation after long-term placement and has good fluidity.


High pollution sample: The components in the sample have strong adhesion, little water, easy to adhere to the surface of glass bulb or reference salt bridge.


Low conductivity sample: The water sample has low conductivity and low concentration of H+ or OH- ions.


Product application of ammonium ion electrode:

The sensor can dynamically compensate the temperature in the sample.


Digital sensor, strong anti-interference ability, long transmission distance.


Standard digital signal output, can be realized in the case of no transmitter and other equipment integration and networking.


The sensor is convenient and quick to install on site, realizing plug and play.


The positive and negative terminals of the sensor power supply are connected back, and the sensor RS485A/B terminal is connected to the wrong power supply protection.


Maintenance of ammonium ion electrode:

1. Electrode cleaning: wash or soak the electrode surface with pure water. If it is not cleaned, it is necessary to consider the nature of the liquid to be tested and choose the corresponding reagent, but the washing or soaking time should not be too long.


2. Replace the membrane head: the gas-sensitive electrode is mostly used for sensitizing film of soft materials. If the measurement problem is found, the membrane head can be replaced and the electrolyte can be added again. Generally, there are about three electrodes.


3.Electrode filling liquid: generally about three months, replace once.
