Function of laboratory pH electrode and maintenance before and after use

2022-11-29 Source:MEM POT

Function of laboratory pH electrode:

●In accordance with the GLP requirements of the specification, it has intelligent functions such as automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation, data storage, RS232 output, clock display, function setting and self-diagnosis information.

●There are three different measurement modes: stable display mode; Timing measurement mode; Continuous measurement mode.

●Automatic recognition of pH standard buffer solution, there are three series of standard buffer solution to choose from.

●Using the conductivity measurement technology, using constant K=1 conductivity, just a little calibration, can meet the measurement accuracy requirements.

●Electrical conductivity, TDS, salinity and resistivity can be switched. TDS and salinity are calculated by polynomial to ensure the accuracy of range conversion.

●Comply with IP54 dust and splash rating, meter socket is sealed with silicone cap protection.

Maintenance of laboratory pH electrode before and after use:

1. Keep the joint clean and dry

Connection joints, sockets, should be kept clean, dry, non-polluting, and ensure good contact, there is pollution can be used 99% industrial alcohol wipe.

2. Precautions for initial use

Electrodes used for the first time (without solution in the jacket) or discontinued for a long time must be soaked in the solution for 24 hours before use.

3. Prevent contamination of electrodes

When measuring the solution with large concentration, shorten the measuring time as far as possible, and clean it carefully after use to prevent the solution under test from adhering to the electrode and contaminating the electrode.

4. The electrode should avoid long time immersion

The electrode should avoid long-term immersion in distilled water, protein solution and acid fluoride solution, and the electrode should avoid contact with silicone oil.

5. Matters needing attention after use

The electrode should be inserted into the jacket with the solution, should often observe the amount of solution in the electrode rod, to be added in time, generally not less than half. The upper plug is not measured when the plug is on.
